PBA slapped Williams a fine of P40,000 for his flagrant foul on Fajardo

GlobalPort import Justin Williams became the first reinforcement to be penalized by the PBA in the 2013 Commissioner’s Cup.

The PBA slapped Williams a fine of P40,000 for his flagrant foul penalty two on Petron rookie June Mar Fajardo in the Batang Pier’s opening match against the Boosters.

The import landed an elbow to Fajardo’s kisser, resulting in the ejection.

GlobalPort coach Junel Baculi told InterAKTV in a text message that the fine was “too much.”

In his defense, Williams said he wasn’t trying to hurt Fajardo, saying the contact was incidental.
